On Friday, August 7, AWCA, a New Jersey non-profit organization, held a scholarship award ceremony for the ‘Kihwa Scholarship’ and ‘Duke & Judy Scholarship’ at the AWCA hall in Teaneck, awarding scholarships to Korean-American students. This year’s Kihwa Scholarship recipients are Emily Ro, David Yang, and Jayne Jo, who were each awarded $3,000. The Duke & Judy Scholarship recipients are SJ Jang and Suhyeon Cho, who were each awarded $2,500. Representatives from the Kihwa Scholarship Foundation and Duke & Judy attended the event.
